It has been way too long! I have missed you more than you know. I have to tell you, blogging is like therapy for me, so needless to say, my family has missed you as well.

So, where have I (we) been?

Many of you know that over two years ago Cindy Hultine and I founded an organization called Set Me Free Project, an organization that does prevention education to youth and families on the dangers of sex trafficking and social media safety. Now, what many of you not know is that Set Me Free Project is not the same as Set Me Free Ministries. One has nothing to do with the other. They are two completely separate organizations. In fact, Set Me Free Project a not a faith based organization at all. It has been a journey to say the least. It has been a journey on trusting God and trusting His sovereignty. Anyone been there?

We had a lot of mixed reactions when we made this move. I'll be honest we had mixed reactions…or more accurately mixed feelings. We knew that God was calling us to be a non-faith based organization. How did we know it? Well, among other things, we didn't want to be a non-faith based organization. Ah…obedience. But we knew we were called to do something that was much bigger than us.

And yet, even with that calling, we had believers telling us (or shall I say telling others) that we were denying Christ. Ouch. It has been a difficult journey. Painful even.

But God has used that time to work on us. To show us that no matter what our circumstances look like, He alone is God. Are you going through a time in which you need to see the Sovereignty of God? Do you need to know that even though your circumstances look bleak, He is there moving on your behalf?

I look forward to blogging again. I would love to hear from you as well! In the meantime, I would like to share with you a Psalm that has been speaking to me. Psalm 121, a song that declares that God will help those who seek Him!

I will lift up my eyes to the hills-
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.
He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.
